Sam Morrow - Heartbreak Man
Sam Morrow - Sharp Dressed Man (ZZ Top Cover)
Sam Morrow is this week’s special guest in The Moonshine Sessions.... The Alt-country hero found the time to mosey on in to the studio to play his song ‘Heartbreak Man’ plus a fantastic cover of the ZZ Top classic track ‘Sharp Dressed Man’.
Aged only 27, the troubadour from Los Angeles has already been named as one of the brightest stars in the new generation of country music by none other than the illustrious Rolling Stone. Last year saw the release of his critically acclaimed third album ‘Concrete & Mud’ through Forty Below Records which truly shows off his penchant for Texan twang and southern swing that once again demanded international attention. It features the infectious and bubbly single ‘Quick Fix’ plus a duet with his long-term friend and tour mate Jamie Wyatt called ‘Skinny Elvis’.
Speaking about ‘Concrete & Mud’, Morrow commented; "It's about the fabric of America, and how the Mississippi is a metaphor for what binds very different people together. The sentiment is, the things that unite us are stronger than the forces that divide us."
